Preparing Room
Vision
For many generations, the cornerstone inscription of Trinity’s parish house has stood as both promise and challenge: “To bring up our children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”
To honor this holy commitment during a remarkable season of growth, we must intentionally prepare room for all of God’s children. The Preparing Room initiative invites us to secure our Today by sustaining the vital worship, formation, and ministries that serve as our living foundation. It also challenges us to build upon this foundation for Tomorrow.
Through our capital commitments we will fund vital facilities improvements—transforming our building for true accessibility, hospitality, and outward mission.
Now is the time to invest in what God is doing in our midst, so that the next generations can continue to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
What is the Preparing Room Initiative About?
Preparing Room for Today:
Sustaining and Expanding Our Ministry
Every vision for tomorrow is built on the ministry God is doing today. Through our annual stewardship, we will sustain worship, discipleship, pastoral care, children’s and youth ministries, fellowship, and outreach. By fully funding today’s ministry, we prepare room for the generations God is bringing tomorrow.
Preparing Room for Tomorrow:
Facilities that Support Transformative Ministry
This campaign emerges from a deep desire to keep doing this holy work by intentionally preparing room for all of God’s children.
Room for All
We will transform the connection between our sanctuary and parish hall with a welcoming cloister and accessible restrooms. These improvements remove barriers, preserve the beauty of our historic campus, and ensure every person can fully participate in the life of Trinity.
Room for Service
We will refresh our Parish House with updated flooring, paint, lighting, and restroom improvements, creating beautiful, functional spaces that support worship, fellowship, ministry, and our community partners for years to come.
Room for Mission
Our mission extends beyond our walls. Through this initiative, we will strengthen diocesan ministries, including Peterkin Camp, Highland Educational Project, and Sandscrest Retreat, and establish a seed fund that welcomes new nonprofit partners into our Parish House, expanding Trinity’s witness throughout our community.
Our Primary Goal:
100% Participation
The legacy our parish was founded on has been a sacrificial unity to do whatever is needed together as the body of Christ. In this Preparing Room initiative, we want every person who calls Trinity Episcopal Church their church home to participate in this Preparing Room initiative so we can continue our heritage of doing this together.
Our Secondary Goal:
Funding for Today.
Investment for Tomorrow.
Funding Our Today. To thrive in ministry throughout 2027, we look for our parishioners to invest $240,000 in worship, formation, ministry with children and youth, salaries, utilities, and other ministry operating expenses.
Funding Our Tomorrow. We are trusting God to raise $500,000 in capital gifts from our parishioners over these next three years. Together with a distribution from our existing endowed funds, our giving will fully fund the Preparing Room capital vision, including:
• Cloister renovation and main floor restrooms.
• Parish House refresh with new flooring and paint, repairs throughout, and updated restrooms.
• Seed funds for community ministry start-ups and support for diocesan ministry partnerships.

Our primary goal is 100% participation. Begin by seeking God’s direction for your own response and prepare to make a meaningful, sacrificial commitment to this Preparing Room initiative—one that deepens your trust and grows your generosity.

Make Your Commitment
Our giving to the Preparing Room initiative includes both our annual stewardship commitment for 2027 and giving over and above our regular tithes and offerings for three years beginning December 2026.
